So it's Mid-January.......

Our December was great! First we had Ruby's birthday, she is officially 6! For like 3 weeks she went around telling me how much she just loved being six! My sister from Wyoming and her kiddos came down for Christmas. We had so much fun! The kiddos are getting so big. Since it is Mid-January I really don't remember what all we did!! We checked out some lights and had some good Christmas dinners. The Kids were dancing machines at Mom's Christmas party.
We had our usual Christmas Brunch except this year we had everyone wear their PJ's! Not everyone did of course. (party poopers!) I tried out some new recipes which were pretty freakin awesome! Matt's niece that lives in Savannah came down for her holiday break. It was really nice to see her, we haven't seen her in a long time! She is an artist extraordinaire! She gave us a book that she made of some of her artwork that is just fantastic!! I can't wait to see more of her artwork, she has a website that has some of her latest work. The 27th of December we all got together with Mom's side of the family. That day also was the tenth anniversary of my Grandmother's passing. She died from what started out as breast cancer and then the cancer just went everywhere. But it was so nice to be with all of our relatives. We don't get to see them very much even though they only live about an hour away! It was a very stormy day and we went to The Oasis to celebrate. They rain was coming down and then from out of nowhere all hell broke loose and it was storming like mad! It was kinda scary! Good thing there was beer!! It stormed for a while then the sun came out and it just turned pink outside the cloud formations were fantastic. Then we saw it, it was a double rainbow! A double rainbow! To me that seems like a pretty rare occurence. I truely believe that our Grandma sent it to us!

We have big plans for this year. We keep saying that this is going to be our year! Let's hope we are right! 2007 was just horrible for us and it took awhile for '08 to be worth anything! So we are due for a good year!
